58 cents. That’ s all it takes to send your greeting card First Class Mail from California to New York, Chicago, Alaska, Hawaii or anywhere else in the country. Despite recent increases in postage, it’s still a real great deal when you think about it.  Everybody loves to receive a greeting card in the mail.

Greeting cards can also be sent as an attachment to a gift box sent priority mail.

Sending a greeting card internationally to New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Europe, or the United Kingdom costs $1.30. All international First Class Mail stamp prices are now the same regardless of their overseas destination. Even though it costs more than mailing domestically, it’s still very affordable for such a personal, wonderful, and thoughtful sentiment to be sent to the other side of the world.

Larger Greeting Cards cost more to send in the mail. The cost of stamps to post an oversize greeting card is 70 cents domestically or locally, $2.40 to the rest of the world. Many retailers who profit from selling postage, such as The United States Postal Service or mail box rental stores, can increase the amount of profit sold per greeting card sale.

It has been announced that the cost of sending a greeting card in the mail may be increased by the United States Postal Service within the next six months.

Within the United States, First Class Mail typically takes 1-4 days for delivery. If you think you’re going to miss your recipient’s birthday, send a Belated Birthday card instead.

Despite recent and future expectations of the increase in postage, sending a greeting card in the mail still remains an excellent value, and a highly rated consumer experience for the card receiver.
